I've spent two decades building and leading marketing across financial services, fintech, and technology — and in recent years, at the front of applying AI to make that marketing performs at a scale that wasn't possible before.
Across APAC, India, MEA, Europe, Emerging countries, and the UK, my work has spanned brand strategy and integrated marketing, full-funnel digital campaigns, performance marketing, marketing automation, social and content strategy, and data-driven programmes — for global enterprises, regional financial institutions, and high-growth fintech businesses. I've built brand architectures from the ground up, positioned and launched regulated financial products, and driven digital distribution in Asset Management.
I've also led communication through the moments that test it most — transformation, M&As, leadership transitions, and high-stakes reputation and crisis mandates — and built the organizational storytelling that holds a brand together across cultures, markets, and time zones.
Today I work independently. I'm the author of AI for Asset Managers, and the founder of Kamal Vaswani & Co., a consulting practice that helps BFSI and asset management firms apply AI to marketing, brand, and investor communication — built around my proprietary TRUST-AI™ framework.
My expertise sits at the intersection of brand strategy, digital marketing, AI adoption, and financial services — the combination that defines what the next generation of CMOs has to bring.
